16 judges sworn in before Sheikh Mohammed

New public prosecutor also takes oath

Sixteen newly-appointed Dubai Courts judges and new public prosecutor took their oaths of office before UAE Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum at the Ruler's Court at Za'beel Palace on Tuesday afternoon.

Sheikh Mohammed wished success to the new judges of Courts of Instance and Appeal, instructing them to set an example by being honest, neutral and just. He reiterated the independence and impartiality of the judiciary.

Present were Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman of Dubai Aviation Authority and Chairman of Emirates Group, Mohammed Abdullah Al Shaibani, Director-General of Dubai Ruler's Court, Deputy Chairman of Dubai Judicial Council, Lt. General Musbeh Rashid Al Fattan, Director of Office Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, Essam Al Humaidan, Dubai Attorney General, Dr Ahmed bin Hazim, Director of Dubai Courts, heads of courts and senior officials.
