6 new Ambassadors sworn in before Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid

Six new Emirati envoys took oath on Thursday before UAE Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.

Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Dubai Crown Prince, Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Dubai Deputy Ruler and Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, UAE Foreign Minister attended the ceremony.

The new envoys include UAE Ambassadors to Ukraine, Greece, Argentine, Bangladesh, Vietnam and Permanent Representative of the UAE to the United Nations.

Sheikh Mohammed congratulated the new envoys on their new positions and called on them to be ambassadors of peace and noble humanitarian values, and to strive to serve their country and people away from any personal interests.

He also asked them to build relations with the decision makers and officials in the respective countries and organisations they are representing the UAE in. Sheikh Mohammed said that the new ambassadors shall be true ambassadors of their leadership, people and country. He wished them success in their new jobs to bolster UAE interests and national goals and to enhance UAE reputation internationally.

Present at the swearing in ceremony were Chairman of the Dubai Civil Aviation and President of Emirates Group, Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Sheikh Mansour bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Dr. Anwar Mohammed Gargash, UAE Minister of State for Foreign Affairs other Sheikhs and senior officials.

Sheikh Mohammed hosted an Iftar banquet in honour of his guests.
