Dh120-million landmark Dubai Frame project launched

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of UAE and Ruler of Dubai, has directed to implement Al Berwaz Tower project "Dubai Landmark" at Zabeel Park in Dubai.

Hussain Nasser Lootah, Director-General of Dubai Municipality, briefed Sheikh Mohammed on the map about the cultural tourism project.

Dubai Municipality is supervising the design, implementation and management of the project, which will be a new addition to the distinctive Dubai landmarks.

Present were Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, and Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman of Dubai Aviation Authority and Chairman of Emirates Group.

Lootah said that "Dubai LandMark" with a total cost of Dh120 million is a promising tourism project and expected to attract about two million visitors and tourists. The tower has an altitude of 150 metres and width of 105 metres.

He emphasised that the project will start within four months and will be completed by the end of the next year.

Lootah indicated that the project includes services and entertaining facilities, a museum and floors made of glass panels covered with paintings and artistic works.
