Bin Sinan pledged every illegal resident and those who employ them ample punishment for violating the country's law.
The Residency department has chalked out yearlong plan to track down the violators, and plainclothes have been assigned to chase every person who stay illegally in the country, he added.
It was earlier last week a nation-wide drive was launched to create awareness against illegal immigration into the country under the slogan, 'No to Violators'.
The campaign, organised by the Directorate of Follow-Up of Violators and Foreigners Affairs set up by the Ministry of Interior, aims to encourage citizens and legal residents to fight the phenomenon of alien infiltration into the UAE by helping the authorities track the infiltrators.
In a country-wide hunt for illegal residents, the Ministry of Interior nabbed a total of 457 violators since the launching of the campaign.
