The Federal National council (FNC) on Saturday unveiled its new identity logo design that is made of four entwined elements depicting objectives and core areas of the council.

The logo design consists of stars, sun, the UAE flag and the falcon. The stars symbolise the seven emirates. The sun, emblazoned by the country's flag, represents the welfare that shines on the UAE, while the falcon stands for the national identity, the value and traditions.

The red colour in the logo reflects love, fraternity and the strong bonds between the UAE people. It also refers to the FNC's role and vision of providing a better tomorrow for the citizens.

"The new logo was launched to emphasise FNC's vital role in serving citizens, supporting their interests and in accelerating UAE's development, in tandem with the progress and prosperity witnessed in the UAE," FNC Speaker Abdul Aziz Abdullah Al Ghurair said.

Al Ghurair went on to say the FNC attaches great importance to adopting a logo that reflects its identity and its message of letting others know about the greatness of the UAE federation since the first time the country's flag was hoisted.

"The flag embodies a success story and a celebration of the thought and vision of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the founder of the nation who proclaimed the birth of the UAE as an independent and sovereign state on December 2, 1971."
