Focus on quality lifestyle, Mohammed as he reviews Dh10bn Mamzar project

Underlining the UAE Vision 2021 and the country’s strategy that places the happiness and welfare of the UAE citizens and residents as top priorities, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, affirmed that the country will continue to invest in qualitative developmental and added-value projects with positive and sustainable social impact guaranteeing quality lifestyle for its citizens, residents and visitors alike.

Sheikh Mohammed also stressed the importance of promoting creativity and innovation as key prerequisites for projects planning, in order to efficiently reflect our country’s ambitions to further establish itself as a prime destination for living and working.

Sheikh Mohammed statement came while reviewing Al Mamzar mixed-use beachfront project to be developed by Emaar Properties PJSC in collaboration with Dubai Municipality at an initial cost of Dh10 billion. Described as Dubai’s largest development of its kind, the project is set to become a new modern landmark for the emirate and will translate its vision to enforce sustainability targets.

Sheikh Mohammed was accompanied by Director General of Dubai Municipality, Hussain Nassir Lootah, Emaar Chairman, Mohamed Alabbar, Director of Protocol and Hospitality in Dubai, Khalifa Saeed Suleiman, Managing Director of Emaar Properties PJSC Ahmad Al Matrooshi and a number of senior officials.

Lootah briefed Sheikh Mohammed about the project which is stretching over nine million square feet. The development allocates 4,840 million square feet for buildings and facilities that includes residential towers, hotels, restaurants and retail outlets, parks and modern crossings that connects Al Mamzar beachfront and Al Nahda area.
 
Lootah explained that the previously conducted feasibility and environmental studies on the development’s area covered the environmental precautions and considered preservation of the area’s ecology and further offers dedicated area for eco-friendly desert trees that do not require plenty of irrigation water and other vegetation that adopts to water salinity and soil.

Chairman of Emaar Properties Mohamed Al Abbar asserted that Al Mamzar mixed-use beachfront development is an added-value to Dubai’s cultural landmarks that boosts the emirate’s position as a global touristic hub and a modern city that offers quality lifestyle. Al Abbar affirmed that Emaar is proud to carry out this mega project in collaboration with Dubai Municipality and the project is Emaar’s biggest development in Deira area.

Al Abbar added that the development reflects the vision of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum to launch qualitative projects and initiatives that contribute to recognising the set objectives of the UAE National Agenda and introduce a sustainable and competitive economy. Emaar Chairman stated that Al Mamzar development is inspired by the leadership’s approach to diversify the emirate’s economy and serves as a touristic attraction that offers recreational outlets, multipurpose facilities and green areas.

Al Mamzar mixed-use beachfront development includes 4,000 residential units, 300 hotel rooms, 250,000 square metes of retail amenities and 3.5km of walking tracks covered with plantations. The project draws on the unique lakefront ambience. Components of the development include fountains, water features and water-themed leisure attractions.
