Gen Mohammed receives Queensland PM

General Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan meets Campbell Newman, Premier of the Australian State of Queensland, at Al Bahr Palace on Monday (Wam)

General Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, received on Monday at Al Bahr Palace Campbell Newman, Premier of the Australian State of Queensland who is heading a state delegation on a visit to the UAE.

Sheikh Mohammed welcomed Newman and praised the progressive UAE-Australian ties. He also expressed the hope that relations between the UAE and Queensland will witness further progress.

The meeting touched on issues of mutual interest, including ways to strengthen ties of friendship and cooperation.

Sheikh Mohammed said he was pleased with the joint strategic cooperation agreement signed today between the governments of Abu Dhabi and Queensland, adding that he was confident that the agreement will open doors for a new phase of strategic partnership and cooperation.

Newman said the government of Queensland was keen on developing relations of cooperation and friendship with the UAE. He said he was delighted to visit the UAE and looking forward to achieving positive outcome. He also lauded the progress witnessed in the UAE.

Present were Sheikh Tahnoun bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi Ruler’s Representative in the Eastern Region,  Sheikh Nahyan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan Charitable and Humanitarian Foundation, Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Culture, Youth and Community Development, Sheikhs, senior officials and Australian Ambassador Pablo Kang.

Mohammed bin Zayed appoints new member to Abu Dhabi Tourism and Culture Authority's Board

General Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council, has issued a decision appointing Mohammed Khalifa Ahmed Al Mubarak as a member of the Board of Directors of Abu Dhabi Tourism and Culture Authority to replace Jassim Mohammed Al Darmaki.
