General Mohammed meets leaders at Yas Marina

General Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, met separately with King Juan Carlos of Spain, President Alpha Conde of Guinea, President Paul Kagame of Rwanda and Victor Lukashenko, National Security Advisor to the Belarusian President.

Welcoming the guests at the Yas Hotel, which is hosting the 2011 Formula 1 Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, General Mohammed wished them a joyful time at the event which concludes on Sunday at Yas Marina Circuit.

Hosts banquet

He later on Saturday hosted a banquet at Golf Club 'Yas Link' in honour of kings, presidents, senior officials and heads of delegations.

In separate meetings he also discussed relations between the UAE and the four countries as well as the role of big sport events in furthering friendly relations, rapprochement and cooperation among the world's cultures.

General Mohammed also toured the Etihad Towers, the latest investment by Abu Dhabi in the Ras Al-Akhdar district. He was briefed by the developers on the fully integrated luxurious neighborhood offering a unique live, shop and dine, work and stay experience.

Etihad Towers

Etihad Towers project, completed earlier this month, offers a wide selection of services, amenities and luxuries, including five towers that range from 54 to 75 floors more than 300 metres high to offer over half a million square metres; three residential towers comprise 882 apartments and penthouses and Jumeirah at Etihad Towers offer 382 elegant hotel rooms and suites and 199 luxurious serviced apartments.

The five towers face the majestic Emirates Palace Hotel and offer panoramic views of the city and the sea with a 130-metre waterfront.

Unique features of the project include its own private beach, one of Abu Dhabi's largest and most contemporary convention centers, a grand ballroom that can cater to more than 2,200 people and 4 levels of underground car parking, with valet parking and a capacity for more than 3,000 cars.

The project's office tower comprises 52 floors on 45,000 square metres that boasts state-of-the-art systemsand facilities.
