Jan 31 job contract deadline for UAE federal staff

The Federal Authority for Government Human Resources has set January 31 as the deadline for the federal government staff, both old and new, to sign their
employment contracts.

The authority has asked HR departments in federal ministries and institutions to expedite signing of employment contracts for all staff, both citizens and expatriates.

It has also asked HR departments to enroll the staff in the ‘Bayanati’ system after the employment contracts are signed.

Disciplinary action should be action against employees who fail or refuse to sign their job contracts before the deadline, it added.

Employment contract forms are available the authority’s web site.

It has earlier set November 30 as the last date for signing the employment contracts but extended it to January 31.
