Khalifa issues law on Zayed House for Family Care

President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, in his capacity as Ruler of Abu Dhabi, has issued a law on the Zayed House for Family Care.

According to the law, the new organisation shall have an independent, juridical personality and enjoy financial and administrative autonomy as well as full legal capacity of disposition under the purview of the Court of the Abu Dhabi Crown Prince.

The law stipulates that the new house will replace the Zayed House for Comprehensive Care, which was part of the Zayed Higher Organisation for Humanitarian Care and Special Needs (ZHO) whose rights and obligations will be converted to the new entity.

Mandate of the Zayed House for Family Care will include provision of protection to children under its care through a safe, proper family environment and delivery of healthcare, psychological, social and entertainment services in compliance with Sharia law and applicable legislations.

And in implementation of the provisions of the law, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, and Chairman of the Executive Council of Emirate of Abu Dhabi, has issued a resolution establishing the board of directors of the new house under the chairmanship of Ahmed Mohammed Al Muhairi.

Members included Mohammed Ibrahim Al Mahmoud, Mubarak Saeed Al Shamsi, Ahmed bin Nikhirat Al Ameri and Fahad Mattar Al Neyadi.
