Khalifa restructures EAD

President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan has issued, in his capacity as Ruler of Abu Dhabi, an Emiri decree restructuring the board of the Environment Agency - Abu Dhabi (EAD).

The decree says General Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, will be the honourary chairman of EAD.

According to the decree, Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler's Representative in the Western Region, will chair the board and Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs, will act as his deputy.

The board will have the following as members: Sheikh Hamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chief of Abu Dhabi Crown Prince's Court, Sheikh Sultan bin Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Sheikh Nahyan bin Hamdan Al Nahyan, Dr. Rashid Ahmed bin Fahad, Minister of Environment and Water, Mohammed Ahmed Al Bowardi, member of Abu Dhabi Executive Council, Eng. Ahmed Mohammed Shariff Ali, Undersecretary of Department of Municipal Affairs, Mohammed Butti Khalfan Al Qubaisi, Director of Exploration and Production Department, Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (Adnoc), and Ahmed Thani Murshed Ghanam Al Rumaithi, Chairman of Abu Dhabi Sailing and Yacht Club.

The decree states that the board members will serve a term of two years, subject to renewal.
