Law above all, justice for all, urges Khalifa

President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan has stressed that the UAE values the role of judges in spreading justice among people.

The President was speaking at the sworn in ceremony of Justice Mohammed Abdul Rahman Ali bin Jarah Al Tunaiji, alternate judge at the Supreme Federal Court at Al Mushrif Palace on Monday in the presence of General Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces and Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler's Representative in the Western Region.

Sheikh Khalifa wished the new judge success in spreading of justice and becoming an example of integrity.

For his part, Al Tunaiji expressed his pleasure of meeting the President, hoping that his advice will pave the way for him in his new judicial function.

Also present were Sheikh Tahnoun bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, Ruler's Representative in Eastern Region, Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan, National Security Adviser, Lt General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, Sheikh Nahyan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan Foundation for Humanitarian and Charity Works, Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs, Sheikh Hamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chief of Abu Dhabi Crown Prince's Court, other Sheikhs, ministers and senior officials.

New UAE envoys sworn in before President 
 
President Khalifa also instructed new UAE ambassadors to a number of friendly countries after taking oath at Al Mushrif Palace, that they should boost the UAE's position in the international community.

He stressed the significance of diplomatic missions in assisting the citizens abroad, indicating that the UAE puts citizens on the top of its priorities.

The UAE President wished success to the new ambassadors in their new functions to consolidate UAE's relations with sisterly and friendly countries.

For their part, the envoys thanked Sheikh Khalifa for the confidence he vested on them, pledging to work very hard to bolster UAE's relations with different countries.

The following ambassadors sworn in before the UAE President: Salem Al Ghafli, UAE Ambassador to Azerbaijan, Mohammed Ateeq Al Rumaithi, UAE Ambassador to Switzerland and Hamad Hareb Al Habsi, UAE Ambassador to South Africa.

The event was attended by General Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed, Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed, Sheikh Tahnoun bin Mohammed, Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed, Lt General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed, Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed, Sheikh Hamed bin Zayed, other Sheikhs, ministers and senior officials.

President receives credentials from 13 ambassadors 
 
The UAE President reiterated UAE's keenness to extend bridges of friendship and cooperation among nations and to build balanced relations with all the fraternal and friendly countries.

He also stressed UAE's constant endeavour to develop economic, cultural and tourism relations with the world countries.

The president was speaking while receiving today, credentials from 13 new ambassadors to the country in the presence of Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed and Sheikh Hamdan Bin Zayed.

His Highness received credentials from Ambassador of Portugal Jaime van Zeller Leitao, Ambassador of Hungary Janos Gyuris, Ambassador of Poland Adam Krzymowski, Ambassador of New Zealand Malcolm Millar, Ambassador of U.S.A Michael H. Corbin, Ambassador of Angola Flavio Fonseca, Ambassador of Seychelles Patrick R., Ambassador of Libya Dr. Arif Ali Al Nayedh, Ambassador of Finland Ilkka Pekka Simila, Ambassador of Tunisia Tariq Ba Tayyib, Ambassador of Columbia Roberto Vallejo, Ambassador of Iraq Arshad Ismael Al Musalli and Ambassador of Syria Abdullatif Dabbagh.

The President welcomed the ambassadors and wished them success in their mission to strengthen relations between UAE and their respective countries.

He asked the new ambassadors to convey his greetings to the Heads of their countries and best wishes for the welfare and prosperity of their people.

The new ambassadors expressed their happiness over the opportunity to represent their countries in the UAE and hailed the prudent policy adopted by the UAE under the leadership of the President.

A number of sheikhs, ministers and senior state officials also attended the ceremony which was held at the Mushrif Palace.
