Maktoum opens Careers UAE 2014

Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, today opened Careers UAE 2014, organised by the Dubai World Trade Centre for the 14th year in a row.

Careers UAE enables talented UAE nationals in all fields to come face-to-face with recruiters and hiring managers from leading employers. It is designed to expose job seekers to a wide range of educational, training and career opportunities.

Following the traditional ribbon-cutting ceremony, Sheikh Maktoum toured the exhibition accompanied by a number of heads and directors of the parties participating in the event.

Sheikh Maktoum's tour included various pavilions and platforms participating in the event, totalling more than 90 government and private agencies.

Sheikh Maktoum was briefed on training programmes and employment opportunities in various local government agencies in Dubai through the Human Resources Department, which is involved in the exhibition with a pavilion which includes the participation of a number of government departments.

Sheikh Maktoum was accompanied on his tour by Saqr bin Ghobash Saeed Ghobash, Minister of Labour, along with a number of senior officials.

Sheikh Maktoum commended the training programmes announced by the participating agencies in the exhibition, which aims to encourage young people, sharpen their talents and enrich their knowledge and studies at school and university.

At the end of the tour, Sheikh Maktoum expressed his happiness with this annual event, which includes dozens of national government and private agencies showing the possibilities available.
