Mohamed receives Tajik president

His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Emomali Rahmon, President of Tajikistan, stand for the national anthem during a reception at the Presidential Airport (Wam)

President of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon, today arrived in Abu Dhabi on a two-day official visit.

The Tajik President was received at the Presidential flight in Abu Dhabi by His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces.

At the airport, the Tajik President was also received by Dr. Amal Abdullah Al Qubaisi, Speaker of Federal National Council (FNC), Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior, Sheikh Hamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chief of the Abu Dhabi Crown Prince's Court, and Sheikh Sultan bin Tahnoon Al Nahyan, Member of the Executive Council.

President Rahmon was accorded an official reception as the national anthems of Tajikistan and the UAE were played. The guest was also given the 21-gun salute.

Later, Tajikistan President shook hands with Sheikhs, ministers and top UAE officials, while Sheikh Mohamed shook hands with the Tajik officials accompanying Rahmon.

Among those who also attended were Sultan bin Saeed Al Mansouri, Minister of Economy; Dr. Abdul Rahman bin Mohammad bin Nasser Al Owais, Minister of Health and Prevention; Suhail bin Mohammed Faraj  Faris  Al Mazrouei, Minister of Energy, and head of the honorary mission; Hussain bin Ibrahim Al Hammadi, Minister of Education; Mohammed bin Ahmed Al Bowardi, Minister of State for Defence Affairs; Dr. Sultan bin Ahmad Sultan Al Jaber, Minister of State; Dr. Ahmed Mubarak Al Mazrouei, Secretary-General of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council; Riyad Abdulrahman Al Mubarak, Chairman of the Finance Department; Dr Ali Rashid Al Nuaimi, Director-General of Abu Dhabi Education Council; Mohamed Mubarak Al Mazrouei, Under-Secretary of the Abu Dhabi Crown Prince's Court, and Lt. General Hamad Mohammed Thani Al Rumaithi, Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces.

The Tajik President is accompanied by a high-profile delegation including Aslov Sirodjidin Muhridinovich, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan, Azamsho Sharifi, Assistant to the President on Foreign Relations, ministers and other Tajik officials.
