His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, has attended yesterday the English Guineas at Newmarket.
Sheikh Mohammed was accompanied by Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, and Princess Haya bint Al Hussein, wife of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid.
The race was also attended by Sheikh Saeed bin Maktoum Al Maktoum, Sheikh Juma bin Dalmouk Al Maktoum, Sheikh Rashid bin Dalmouk Al Maktoum, numbers of senior officials, horse owners and sport fans.
Kieren Fallon on ‘Night Of Thunder’, owned by Saeed Manana, dramatically won the Qipco 2,000 Guineas at Newmarket. It was a fifth colts' Classic success for the jockey and his first in the race for eight years.
Following the race, Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid received the winning trophy from Sheikh Suhaim Al Thani.
Night Of Thunder’s win adds the ninth achievement for UAE’s horses in the Guineas.
