Mohammed bin Rashid attends graduation ceremony

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of UAE and Ruler of Dubai, attended today the graduation ceremony of the 36th batch of cadet officers at the Zayed II Military College.

Present were Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Sheikh Tahnoun bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, Ruler's Representative in Eastern Region, Sheikh Hazza bin Tahnoun Al Nahyan, Undersecretary of Court of the Ruler's Representative in Eastern Region, Staff Lt. General Obaid Mohammed Abdullah Al Ka'abi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Defence, Staff Lt. General Hamad Mohammed Thani Al Rumaithi, Chief of Staff of the UAE Armed Forces, Military Commanders, Members of Diplomatic Corps accredited in the UAE and guardians of the graduates.

The Vice-President congratulated Sheikh Khalifa on the graduation, adding that the Zayed Military College has become an institution for the graduation of skilled and educated cadres.

Sheikh Mohammed expressed his pride about the graduates of the 36th batch, who represent the generation of Union and its sustainability, citing that their graduation coincided with the 40th anniversary of the UAE.

"I am proud... I'm confident that they are the future leaders of their armed forces to bear national responsibilities with all efficiency and loyalty to the affectionate mother state and leadership, who sponsor them."

Commander of the College commended the efficiency and patience of the graduates, who had received the military practical training and theoretical studies.

He thanked the President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, for his continuous unlimited support to the Zayed Military College. He also thanked the Vice-President for his sponsorship of the graduation ceremony.

The Commander of College also commended the follow up by General Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, and provision of material and moral support to this national institution, which has become one of the most prestigious military colleges in the region and world.

He congratulated the graduates, urging them to be prepared to contribute to building of the Armed Forces on scientific basis. He added that the graduates, includes a number of Arab youth from Bahrain, Sultanate of Oman, Qatar, Jordan and Yemen, wishing them success in building their Armed Forces.

Sheikh Mohammed honoured the Chief-of-Staff of the UAE Armed Forces and 9 distinguished graduates, greeting them on their outstanding performances.

After the ceremony, he received the Arab and foreign guests, and greeted senior Armed Forces officers. Sheikh Mohammed greeted them on the graduation of the 36th batch, which coincided with the 40th national day anniversary. He posed for the memorial photo with the graduates, Military Commanders and a number of senior officials.

The event was also attended by Sheikh Dr Saeed bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, Staff Brig. Pilot Sheikh Ahmed bin Tahnoun bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, Director of General Inspection at the Armed Forces.
