Mohammed calls for ‘Brainstorm Session’

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE, and Ruler of Dubai, has announced a Cabinet retreat dedicated to the further development of the health and education sectors in the country.

“UAE govt. is having a cabinet retreat that will be dedicated to further develop the health and education sectors,” HH Sheikh Mohammed tweeted.

In a following tweet, His Highness called for “every man, woman and child” to join the biggest ever national brainstorming session in order to promote fresh thinking and innovation in generating ideas for developing the sectors.

“We want every man, woman and child to join us in the biggest ever national brainstorm session to find new ideas for health and education,” His Highness said today through his Twitter handle.

“Education and health concern all of us, so I invite all of UAE society to think collectively of creative solutions,” he said.

“We will dedicate our ministerial retreat to creating positive ideas that unite us all towards a single purpose,” he added. “Through these two days we will discuss many positive ideas. I am optimistic for the contributions and our ability to develop these sectors,” His Highness concluded.

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of UAE and Ruler of Dubai, said that the UAE is not a nation, it is the world in a nation.

In a statement to the Dubai Government Media Office on the occasion of the UAE's winning the bid to host the World Expo 2020, Sheikh Mohammad expressed his pride in the huge response to the World Expo 2020 voting process that took place in Paris on November 27, noting that the event was closely followed by the world through various media networks.

Sheikh Mohammed said: "The UAE’s win brought happiness to every Emirati and resident’s home", adding that they celebrated the accomplishment side by side with Emiratis by hanging the UAE flag on the roofs and doors of their homes, their cars, as well as expressing their joy through tweets and social media websites.

He underlined that the UAE is a country of the future and winning the bid to host the World Expo 2020 reflects the confidence the world puts in the nation and its people, as the voting process was carried out by nations and governments, not individuals or corporations. He said that nations worldwide voted for the UAE because they see it as an advanced country that is open to the world.

During the interview, Sheikh Mohammad welcomed the presence of poet Prince Khalid Al Faisal and recited a poem on the efforts exerted by President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan and himself for the progress of the nation and happiness of the people.

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, today afternoon received at Zabeel Palace, Prince Khalid Al Faisal, Governor of Makkah region and Chairman of the Arab Thought Foundation.

During the meeting, Sheikh Mohammed and Prince Khalid exchanged views on a number of cultural, literary and economic issues, as well as the role of the Arab Thought Foundation in spreading the Arabic language, and importance of bringing together the intellectuals, historians and media persons to highlight the role of Arab world at international arena, especially in the literary and cultural areas.

Prince Khalid greeted the UAE government and people on the 42nd national day and the winning to host Expo 2020 in Dubai, citing the role of Sheikh Mohammed at the international arena. He commended the UAE achievements in general and Dubai in particular over the last three decades, citing that Dubai is a model of development and success story, thanks to the vision of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid.

The meeting was attended by Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman of Dubai Civil Aviation Authority and Chairman of Emirates Group, Sheikh Majed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of Dubai Culture and Arts Authority, Mohammed Ibrahim Al Shaibani, Director General of the Dubai Ruler's Court, Lt. General Dahi Khalfan Tamim, Deputy Chairman of Police and Public Security in Dubai, Lt. General Musbeh  Rashid Al Fattan , Director of office of the Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, a number of Sheikhs, ministers and senior officials.  

Sheikh Mohammed hosted a launch banquet in honour of the guest and audience.

The audience listened to the poems, congratulating President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan and the Vice President on the national day, which coincided with the winning of the bid to host expo 2020 in Dubai.
