Mohammed crowned winner of Royal Ascot

UAE Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum was crowned on Thursday winner of the Gold Cup at Royal Ascot, the feature race on the third day of the horserace meeting.

Colour Vision, ridden by Frankie Dettori and trained by Saeed bin Suroor, won Godolphin’s fifth victory at Royal Ascot, finishing in 4.42.5, leaving second place, won by half a length, to Opinion Poll under Mickael Barzalona, trained by Mahmood Al Zarooni.

The event was also attended by Dubai Crown Prince Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Dubai Deputy Ruler and Finance Minister Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Queen Elizabeth II of Britain, Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, Wife of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Princess Haya bint Al Hussein, Sheikh Mansour bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, a number of sheikhs, senior officials and race enthusiasts.

Sheikh Mohammed received the winner's Gold Cup from Queen Elizabeth II of Britain.

Mohammed attends Royal Ascot Festival

UAE Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum attended on Thursday day two of the Royal Ascot Racing Festival in the presence of Queen Elizabeth II of Britain. The race was attended also by Deputy Ruler of Dubai and Minister of Finance Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum.

Also present at the racing festival were Chairman of the Dubai Culture ‘&’ Arts Authority Sheikh Majid bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Sheikh Mansoor bin Mohammed Al Maktoum, members of the Britain royal family, other sheikhs, senior officials and a large gathering of racing enthusiasts.

Princes Haya’s Joviality struck in the G2 Windsor Forest Stakes, ridden by William Buick and trained by John Gosden, recording 1.38.37.
