Mohammed holds talks with Polish leader

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of UAE and Ruler of Dubai, today received President Bronislaw Komorowski of Poland at Zabeel Palace.

Sheikh Mohammed held a long discussion with the Polish President, which addressed a number of issues of concern in political, economic, regional and international situations, the relations of friendship and cooperation between the UAE and Poland, and ways to enhance the level of these to wider horizons to include tourism and financial market sectors, along with the investment sector.

Sheikh Mohammed welcomed the Polish President, praising his visit to the UAE describing it as an important visit which will open the way for visits and encourage businessmen and private sector companies to build investment and trade partnerships, which will be beneficial to the economy of both parties.

Sheikh Mohammed affirmed that such mutual visits contribute to a large extent in raising the level of mutual understanding between the leaders and officials of the two countries and enhance mutual trust and respect, as well as being conducive to building new bridges of communication and convergence of economic, cultural and tourism at both the public and private sectors.
The Vice President thanked Mr. Komorowski for Poland's support for the United Arab Emirates and vote in favour of Dubai to host World Expo 2020.

The Polish President described his visit as an important and successful one, and expressed his happiness to meet with Sheikh Mohammed and listen to his thoughts, as he is the one of wise vision. He said, "I have great respect and admiration for the UAE and I want to congratulate the UAE people who have social and economic prosperity thanks to the wise vision of its leadership and its openness to the world."

The Polish President commended the rapid progress in terms of infrastructure and development projects, trade, tourism and financial markets that the UAE is witnessing, congratulating the country on winning the bid to host the Expo 2020.

The discussion session was attended by Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of Dubai Executive Council, Mohammed Ahmed Al Murr, Speaker of Federal National Council (FNC), Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman of Dubai Civil Aviation Authority and Chairman of Emirates Group, Sultan bin Saeed Al Mansouri, Minister of Economy and Head of the Mission of Honour accompanying the President, Dr. Anwar bin Mohammed Gargash, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Reem bint Ibrahim Al Hashemi, Minister of State, Lt. General Dhahi Khalfan Tamim, Deputy Chief of Police and General Security in Dubai, Asim Mirza Al Rahmah, UAE Ambassador to Poland, Adam Kachimovski, Ambassador of Poland, along with a number of senior officials and members of the official delegation accompanying the Polish President.
