His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of UAE and Ruler of Dubai, inaugurated the new premises of Al Bayan and Emarat Al Youm at Dubai Media Incorporated on Wednesday.
Sheikh Mohammed also opened the Mohammed bin Rashid Editorial Centre at Al Bayan newspaper and Emarat Al Youm newspaper.
The room is the first paper-free and printer-free news room in the Middle East where a new news editing software saves two hours of time and ensures smooth flow of news.
He toured the new buildings where he was briefed on procedures of publication at Al Bayan.
In attendance at the inauguration ceremony were Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Lt. General Musabbah Rashid Al Fattan Dubai, the Director of Dubai Ruler's Office, Ahmad Al Shaikh, Managing Director of Dubai Media Incorporated, editors-in-chief of the papers and DMI's other publications.
