Mohammed issues decree and resolution

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum

In his capacity as Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE, has issued Decree No (18) of 2015 partially amending Decree No (13) of 1997 on the establishment of ‘Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Humanitarian and Charity Establishment’. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum has also issued Resolution No (7) of 2015 forming the Board of Trustees of the Establishment.

The new Decree amends Article (5) and Article (6) of Decree No (13) of 1997 to read as follow:

First: “Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Humanitarian and Charity Establishment is supervised and governed by a Board of Trustees. The Board is composed of a Chairman, a Vice Chairman and a number of expert members that will be assigned pursuant to a resolution by His Highness the Ruler. The term of the Board is three years and renewable.”

Second: “The Board of Trustees approves the Establishment’s general policies and annual plans according to the Establishment’s defined objectives, drafting the Establishment’s Statute and submits it to the Ruler for approval, approving the Establishment’s financial and administrative procedures and appointing a director general for the Establishment.”

Resolution No (7) of 2015 appointed Mohammed Juma Al Naboodah as Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Humanitarian and Charity Establishment and Ibrahim Mohamed Bumelha as Vice Chairman. Membership of the Board of Trustees includes Nabeel Abdul Rahim Gargash, Khalid Ali bin Zayed, Mohammed Abdullah Al-Tawhidi and Abdulrahim Hussain Ahli.

All decisions issued by the Board of Trustees of Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Humanitarian and Charity Establishment since  October 2,2006 to the date of activation of this Resolution remains valid.

The Decree and Resolution are valid from the dates of issuance and to be published in the Official Gazette.
