Mohammed issues decree on Dewa

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of UAE and Ruler of Dubai, in his capacity as Ruler of Dubai, has issued a decree on the formation of the board of directors of Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (Dewa).

According to the decree No. 32 of 2015, Matar Humaid Al Tayer will chair the new board, and other members include Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer who also serves as Managing Director, Hilal Khalfan Bin Dhaher, Abdullah Mohammed Al Hashimi, Khalfan Ahmed Hareb, Majed Hamad Al Shamsi, Obaid Saeed Bin Meshar, Saeed Mohammed Al Shared and Nabil Abdul Rahman Arif. The Board will serve for a three-year renewable term.

Pursuant to the decree, if the term of the board’s membership expires without any new members being named, their membership will remain valid until they are reassigned or new members are named.

This decree is considered effective from September 24, 2015 and is to be published in the Official Gazette.
