His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, received Fujairah Crown Prince Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi at his palace in Zaabeel in the presence of Dubai Crown Prince Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.
Al Sharqi came to greet Sheikh Mohammed on the advent of the holy month of Ramadan, wishing His Highness and the UAE wise leadership good health and more prosperity and progress to the people of the UAE.
Sheikh Mohammed also received a number of new Muslims from around the world and exchanged with them Ramadan greetings.
They wished Sheikh Mohammed a long life and good health.
Welcoming the new Muslims who embraced Islam in the UAE, Sheikh Mohammed emphasised Islam’s tolerance and respect to the rights and dignity of man.
He expressed happiness over meeting with this group of new Muslims expressing optimism over the increasing number of new Muslims in the UAE, which has reached 18,000 since 1996, according to the Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department.
Following the meeting, Sheikh Mohammed hosted an Iftar banquet in honour of his guests, after which he performed Al Maghreb prayers.
Present at the meeting were Dubai Crown Prince Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Fujairah Crown Prince Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Sheikh Rashid bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Establishment Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of Dubai Culture and Arts Authority Sheikh Majid bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Sheikh Mansour bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Director of Dubai Ruler's Court Mohammed Ibrahim Al Sheban, Director of Dubai Ruler's Office Lt. General Musabbah Rashid Al Fattan, Dubai Ruler's Advisor for Humanitarian and Cultural Affairs Ibrahim Mohammed Bu Melha, Director General of Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department Dr. Hamad Al Sheban, Dubai Director of Protocol and Hospitality Khalifa Saeed Suleiman, several clerics and senior officials.
Mohammed bin Rashid receives congratulation cables on Ramadan
Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum received a number of congratulatory cables on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan.
Sheikh Mohammed received cables of congratulations from the Qatari Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani and the Qatari Heir Apparent Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani and Qatari Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Hamad bin Jassim bin Jabor Al Thani.
He also received cables from Yemeni Prime Minister Mohamed Salem Basendwah and Sheikh Khaled bin Ahmed bin Salman, Bahraini Minister of the Royal Court.
More cables were sent by a number of national leaders, senior government officials and ambassadors of the State abroad, representatives of the sisterly and friendly countries and international organizations in the State.
