Mohammed meets Mena Forum participants

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai met with a group of CEOs taking part in the Middle East & North Africa Forum (Mena 2014) which is being held in Atlantis Hotel and attended by over 300 entrepreneurs from 125 countries.

Sheikh Mohammed welcomed the participants and wished them success for their forum and a pleasant stay in the UAE. He engaged in talks with them about topics on the forum's agenda, covering educational, economic and investment issues, as well as workshops by international business leaders and CEOs.

Present were Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai,  Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Gargawi, Minister for Cabinet Affairs and Khalifa Saeed Sulaiman, Director General of Dubai Protocol and Hospitality Department.

Also discussed were the suitable solutions for the challenges facing educational outcomes, managing transformation into knowledge-based economy, building partnerships among Mena and world's business leaders and CEOs.

Sheikh Mohammed said he was pleased such an important forum is held in the UAE. He added that the forum represents an opportunity for the young Emirati entrepreneurs to strengthen cooperation and partnerships with their counterparts in other countries.

"Such forums provide opportunities for cultural interaction and exchange of expertise and knowledge," he said.

Mohammed attends endurance race

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, attended a 120-kilometre endurance race held at the Emirates International Endurance Village in Al Wathba.

Also present were Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai and UAE Minister of Finance.

The race, held under the directives of  Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs, was contested by 153 jockeys from different stables in the UAE.

Mansour Saeed Al Farsi won the race, riding 'Fenwick Sunset'. He was closely followed by Sheikh Hamed Dalmouk Juma Al Maktoum, mounting 'Printemps de Marot'. Rashid Ahmed Al Balooshi, came third on 'River Game Drifter'.
