Mohammed meets Montenegro PM

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, today met with Milo Dukanovic, Prime Minister of Montenegro, at his residence in Montenegro.

Sheikh Mohammed and Dukanovic exchanged views on the latest international developments of mutual interest and the importance of enhancing security and peace in various regions across the world. They also reviewed ways to intensify efforts and human resources in the economic development field to contribute towards the stability of peoples and boost principles of common interest among countries.

Sheikh Mohammed and Dukanovic also tackled bilateral relations between the UAE and Montenegro and ways to reach the necessary means to promote the level of these relations, and boost mutual investments between the two countries at the governmental and private levels in order to achieve joint benefits for all parties.

Dukanovic welcomed the UAE's government and private investments in his country, stressing that they enjoy the necessary encouragement and facilitations to accomplish the desired economic objectives. In this context, he highlighted the steps taken by the Investment Corporation of Dubai ICD's luxurious nautical-tourist complex and mega-yacht marina Porto Montenegro in Tivat, Montenegro.

He also expressed his government's desire to attract more Emirati investments, especially from the private sector companies and businesspersons.

Sheikh Mohammed expressed his confidence in the laws and governmental regulations in Montenegro that protect foreign investment, stressing that the UAE's leadership, government and the private sector are looking forward to further co-operation and build a balanced economic, tourist and cultural ties with all nations and friendly peoples. He also indicated that this aims to ensure the achievement of human and cultural rapprochement to contribute in achieving peace and stability for Emiratis and other friendly and fraternal peoples.

He added that youth should have equal job opportunities which would ensure a decent life for them.

Mohammed Ibrahim AI Shaibani, Director-General of the Ruler's Court, Government of Dubai, and Executive Officer of the Investment Corporation of Dubai, Khalifa Saeed Suleiman, Director-General of the Department of Protocol and Hospitality in Dubai, Branimir Gvozdenovi, Montenegro's Minister of Sustainable Development and Tourism, and  Darko Uskokovic, Ambassador of the Republic of Montenegro, attended the meeting.
