His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, met General Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, at the St. Regis Saadiyat Island Resort in Abu Dhabi on Tuesday.
The meeting was attended by Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Dubai Crown Prince; UAE National Security Advisor and Vice-Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Chairman of the Presidential Aviation Sheikh Tahnoun bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
Abu Dhabi's Crown Prince congratulated Sheikh Mohammed on winning the 2012 FEI World Endurance Championship title, considering the achievement a grand victory for UAE sports in international arenas.
Sheikh Mohammed clinched the gold medal for the Individual Category and led the UAE team to harvest gold in the Team Category ahead of 38 international teams at the event.
Sheikh Mohammed thanked his brother Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed and dedicated the victory to the wise leadership of the UAE. His Highness was also congratulated by Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed and Sheikh Tahnoun bin Zayed.
Reflecting utmost attention to the wellbeing of Emiratis, the meeting discussed the efforts exerted by the President Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan to ensure best living standards are provided for Emirati citizens. It also highlighted the profound belief by UAE leadership that all resources must be utilised to benefit the country and its people on all levels.
Present at the meeting were Sheikh Theyab bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Executive Committee and Member of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council Mohammed Ahmed Al Bowardi, Chairman of the Executive Affairs Authority Khaldoun Khalifa Al Mubarak, Secretary General of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Water and Electricity Authority Ahmed Mubarak Al Mazrouei, Director of Dubai Ruler's Office Lt. General Musabbah Rashid Al Fattan, Mohammed Jumma Al Naboodah, Undersecretary of the Abu Dhabi Crown Prince's Court Mohammed Mubarak Al Mazrouei, Dubai Director of Protocol and Hospitality Khalifa Saeed Suleiman and the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Masdar Dr. Sultan Ahmed Al Jaber in addition to a number of Abu Dhabi government executives and officials.
