Mohammed receives heads of charitable and humanitarian organisations

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, received heads of charitable and humanitarian organisations in the UAE, at Zaabeel Palace on Monday.

The meeting was held in the presence of Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Dubai Crown Prince; Sheikh Maktoum  bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Dubai Deputy Ruler and Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs and Chairman of Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation.

Sheikh Mohammed exchanged with his guests greetings on the last ten days of the holy month of Ramadan before paying tribute to these organisations’ humanitarian efforts and the continuous care and attention that they devote to the needy and the less fortunate both locally and internationally.

Expressing support to the truthful work of the UAE charitable and humanitarian organisations, Sheikh Mohammed said that their work is a national duty that reflects the culture and traditions of the UAE society and its wise leadership.

Also present at the meeting were Chairman of Dubai Civil Aviation and Chief Executive of Emirates Group Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman of Dubai Culture and Arts Authority Sheikh Majid bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Minister of Presidential Affairs and Vice Chairman of Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation Ahmed Juma Al Zuabi, Dubai Director of Protocol and Hospitality Khalifa Saeed Suleiman, other sheikhs and senior officials.

Following the reception, Sheikh Mohammed hosted an Iftar banquet in honour of his guests, after which he performed Al Maghreb prayers.
