Mohammed receives members of tribes

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of UAE and Ruler of Dubai, received well-wishers from members of various tribes on the advent of the holy month of Ramadan at Za'abeel Palace on Thursday evening.

The meeting was held in presence of Dubai Crown Prince Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Dubai Deputy Ruler Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and Chairman of Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.

Sheikh Mohammed received congratulation on the blessed occasion of Ramadan from members of tribes who wished His Highness longevity and good health and the UAE continuous progress, stability and prosperity.

Sheikh Mohammed and his guests exchanged talks on a number of heritage and social issues, especially camel racing which His Highness patronises. They stressed the importance of preserving the fathers and grandfathers’ sport so as to remain a key component in the UAE cultural scene and a symbol of our genuine national and Arab identity.

A number of Nabati poems were recited in praise of the holy month of Ramadan. Others commended Sheikh Mohammed’s humanitarian, charity and national initiatives of which UAE Water Aid campaign is the most recent.
