Mohammed restructures Dubal board

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE, in his capacity as the Ruler of Dubai, has issued a decree No./11/ of 2013 to restructure the Board of Directors of Dubai Aluminium (Dubal).

The decree named Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum as Chairman and Saeed Mohammed Ahmed Al Tayer as Deputy Chairman. It also named the following as members: Hilal Khalfan bin Dhahir, Mohammed Abdullah Ahmed Al Ghurair, Tariq Hussein Khansahib, Abdullah Salem Mohammed Al Manea and Abdul Wahid Mohammed Al Fahim. The membership term is three years, subject to renewal.

It deems all the decisions issued by the Board of Directors in accordance with the decree No. /47/ of 2009, from May 31, 2012 till a day before the new decree becomes effective, were all binding and legal.

The decree is effective from the date of issuance on March 13, 2013. It will be published in the official gazette.

Receives Mozambique President

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice- President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, on Monday received the President of Mozambique, Armando Emilio Guebuza, at his rest house Al Marmoum area. 

Guebuza is leading a high-level government delegation on a visit to the UAE. 

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid and President Guebuza held discussions on political and economic matters of mutual interest. They disucssed the process of development in Africa, in general, and in Mozambique, in particular.

The discussions took in cooperation and friendship between the UAE and Mozambique and ways to promote them based on a common desire for mutual benefit from the potentials of both countries.

In remarks at the meeting, Sheikh Mohammed emphasised that he encourages the exchange of expertise between the two coutnries, as well as the exchange of visits by teams specialised in different spheres, in order to lay strong foundations for a solid future partnership that will achieve the common interests of the two countries and their peoples.

For his part, the President of Mozambique expressed his government's  desire for tapping the expertise of the UAE, in general, and of Dubai in particular. He commended the continuous success of Dubai in different spheres such as infrastructure, financial, real estates, ports and other economic and tourism sectors. 

Present at the meeting were Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman of Dubai Aviation Authority and Chairman of Emirates Group, Reem bint Ibrahim Al Hashemi, Minister of State, Mohammed Ibrahim Al Shebani, Director of Dubai Ruler's Court, Sultan Ahmed bin Sulayem, Chairman of Ports, Customs, Director of Dubai's Protocol and Hospitality Khalifa Saeed Suleiman. 

From the Mozambique side, Minister of Foreign Affairs & Cooperation, Oldemiro Julio Marques Baloi, Minister in the Presidency for Social Matter, Feliciano Salomao Gundana, Minister of Transport and Communications, Paulo Francisco Zucula, advisors to the President and other senior officials.
