Mohammed to open FNC session on Sunday

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, will open the Fourth Ordinary Session of the 15th Legislative Chapter of the Federal National Council (FNC) on Sunday  October 26..

Sheikh Mohammed will deliver the keynote address on behalf of the President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan,  which will be followed by the first session under the presidency of the Speaker of Federal National Council (FNC), Mohammed Ahmed Al Murr. In this session, members will elect first and second deputy of the speaker and observers and will set up standing committees.

Among the major topics figuring in the first day's agenda, the house will review Federal Decree No (1) of 2014 regarding the establishment of the U.A.E. Space Agency and 14 decrees regarding agreements and treaties that the UAE has signed with other countries.

The house will also take note of the Federal Cabinet's approval  to discuss the government policy on combating violence against women and children.
