Mohammed tours Dubai Derma

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, today  (Wednesday) toured the venue of the Dubai World Dermatology & Laser Conference & Exhibition (Dubai Derma) which is held annually at the Dubai World Trade Centre.

Accompanied by Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, and senior officials, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid visited the stands of participating companies where he viewed their latest equipments and products used in dermatology, plastic surgeries and laser treatment.
 
Dr. Ibrahim Galadari, Conference Chairman of Dubai Derma, briefed Sheikh Mohammed on the growth of the event  which is attracting some 2,000 visitors a day to view the latest products from some 350 companies.

Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid expressed admiration of the technologies, and his best wishes for success in finding treatments for skin diseases for the participants in the conference.

In its 14th year, Dubai Derma has attracted a host practitioners, specialists, manufacturers and distributors in the field of dermatology, skin care and laser who all gather under the motto "Skin Health is our Concern".

Mohammed bin Rashid meets participant doctors at Dubai Derma

Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum met at Dubai World Trade Centre a number of doctors and heads of regional and international dermatology societies taking part at The Dubai World Dermatology, Laser Conference and Exhibition (Derma) on Wednesday.

The meeting was attended by Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai.

Sheikh Mohammed welcomed  the heads of dermatology societies, who briefed him on the latest technologies, studies and research on treatment of the skin diseases, as well as about World Congress of Dermatology, which is held each five years. The last was held in Seoul in 2010 and the next will be held in Vancouver, Canada. The next will be held in 2020, coinciding with Dubai Expo 2020. Dubai will compete with cities from Brazil, Italy, Czech and China to host the international event. 

Sheikh Mohammed said the UAE with all its institutions is capable of hosting any world event, citing experience orgnaisational skills as catalysts for hosting international events.  He urged all agencies in the state to work with a team's spirit to win a bid to host World Congress for Dermatology in 2020. 

Dubai Derma is an event held annually at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre. It is dedicated to practitioners, specialists, manufacturers and distributors in the field of dermatology, skin care and laser under the motto: "Skin Health is our Concern." Dubai Derma became a pioneer event in the Gulf and the Middle East region that showcases the best practices in dermatology science and the latest technology in skin care through specialised exhibition, lectures, courses and workshops.

Mohammed bin Rashid tours Dubai Achievements' Exhibition

Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, accompanied by Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, on Wednesday visited Government of Dubai's Achievements’ exhibition themed: "Local Government and Global Achievements."

Organised by the Secretariat General of the Dubai Executive Council, the event runs from April 8 to 10.

Sheikh Mohammed toured the pavilions of 16 local departments, where he was briefed about the smart services on speedy transaction of  procedures in record time far from routine. He stressed the need for participation of all local departments to showcase their latest services to public.

He was also accompanied by Sultan bin Saeed Al Mansouri, Minister of Economy, Khalifa Saeed Suleiman, Director-General of the Dubai Department of Protocol and Hospitality, Hilal Saeed Al Marri, CEO of Dubai World Trade Centre and a number of officials.

Mohammed attaches Alabbar to Expo 2020 Preparatory Committee

Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, in his capacity as Ruler of Dubai, has issued Decree No 20 of 2014 attaching Chairman of Emaar Properties, Mohamed Ali Alabbar, as a member in Expo 2020 Preparatory Committee.

The decree is effective from the date of its issuance and will be published in the Official Gazette.
