Mohammed unveils rating plaque at DIFC Courts

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, has emphasised that the focus on customers and clients is a fundamental pillar in the success of any organisation.

Sheikh Mohammed said this during the unveiling of a customer services centre's rating plaque at the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) Courts, which received a five-star rating.DIFC Courts is the first non-federal entity to be classified according to the accredited Star Rating System.

Also present at the unveiling were Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai and Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation.

Sheikh Mohammed said, "Our ultimate goal is to make the UAE a source of best management practices with regard to improving services, and we are proud of our experience in rating service centres; an Emirati experience carried out by our Emirati citizens."

The ceremony was also attended by Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Gargawi, Minister for Cabinet Affairs and Khalifa Saeed Suleiman, Director-General of the Department of Protocol and Hospitality in Dubai.

The UAE is the first country in the world to adopt this rating system for government service centres based on a comprehensive operational framework that emulates the standards applied in hotels, banks and aviation companies.

The project is part of the Emirates Government Service Excellence Programme and is managed by the Ministry of Cabinet Affairs. It embodies the practical steps to develop government services according to the international standards and rate all federal customer service centres based on the development of services and responding to customers’ requests.

Mohammed appoints new executive director of Dubai Air Navigation Services

In his capacity as Ruler of Dubai, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum has issued Decree No 19, of 2014, appointing Mohammed Abdullah Ahli, Director-General of Dubai Civil Aviation Authority, as Executive Director of Dubai Air Navigation Services, in addition to his existing position.
