Mohammed tours Big 5 exhibition at Dubai World Trade Centre

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, today (Wednesday) visited The Big 5 exhibition, the region's largest construction exhibition, taking place at the Dubai World Trade Centre. He was accompanied by Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai.
Sheikh Mohammed toured various pavilions and viewed some of the products exhibited at the event which is hosting 2,800 exhibitors from 174 countries. He was briefed about some of the latest technologies and techniques used in the construction industry.
Sheikh Mohammed was also accompanied by Dubai Director of Protocol and Hospitality, Khalifa Saeed Suleiman, and Director General of the Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM) Hilal Saeed Al Marri.
 
Launched in 1979, The Big 5 International Building and Construction Show is the Middle East's largest construction exhibition. Also taking place parallel to the event are PMV Live, the leading plant, machinery and vehicles show in the Middle East, and Middle East Concrete, the only regional event for the concrete industry.

The three shows seek to advance green building principles that help protect the environment. Products and services in the green buildings sector are one of the key focuses of the show.
