The afternoon work ban decision, which commenced on June 15, will come to an end today [Saturday], in accordance with the decision issued by Saqr Ghobash, Minister of Labour.
Humaid bin Dimas Al Suwaidi, Assistant Undersecretary of the Ministry of Labour said the implementation of the Afternoon Work Ban decision comes in line with the integrated policies and initiatives of the labour market to ensure interests of both production sides and protect workers, being important partners in production and development process.
Al Suwaidi was speaking at the labour accommodation in Dubai during event to mark the end of afternoon work ban campaign. He hailed the employers for observing the ban since its implementation years ago.
The decision bans work at afternoons at open places during the summer season.
