President offers condolences to Sheikh Saud in Ras Al Khaimah

President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, offered his condolences at Al Dhet Palace in Ras Al Khaimah on Wednesday afternoon, to His Highness Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, on the death of Sheikh Saqr Al Qasimi, the former ruler of the emirate.

General Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces; Sheikh Tahnoun bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, Representative of Ruler in Eastern Region; Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan, National Security Adviser; Sheikh Saeed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Representative of Ruler; Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior; Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs; Dr Sheikh Sultan bin Khalifa Al Nahyan, Executive Council Member and Ahmed Jumaa Al Zaabi, Deputy Minister for Presidential Affairs, also offered their condolences alongside Sheikh Khalifa.

While Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Head of the Lands Department; Sheikh Mohammed bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Sheikh Omer bin Saqr Al Qasimi, other Sheikhs, and senior officials accepted the condolences alongside the Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah.

The UAE President and Sheikhs expressed their profound sorrow on the demise of Sheikh Saqr Al Qasimi. May almighty Allah rest his soul in peace.

Paying a tribute, Sheikh Khalifa said that the late Sheikh Saqr Al Qasimi had worked diligently together with the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan and Their Highnesses the Rulers of Emirates in the service of the UAE. "Sheikh Saqr Al Qasimi was one of the first rulers who welcomed the proposal to establish the UAE federation. He worked hard to realise the dream".
