Saudi King receives Gen. Mohamed

The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdul Aziz of Saudi Arabia, received on Saturday at Al Auja (Dera'iya) Palace General Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince of Bahrain, Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser Al Thani, Prime Minister of Qatar, and Sheikh Mohammad Khalid Al Sabah, Deputy Prime Minister of Kuwait.
 
The GCC top officials made a courtesy call on King Salman as part of fraternal visits to exchange cordial talks for the best interest of GCC peoples.

They also discussed the latest developments in the region.
 
King Salman took his royal guests on a tour of the Al Auja Palace where they viewed a collection of historic photos of the late King Abdul Aziz Al Saud and other archeological artefacts on display at the Palace.
 
King Salman then hosted a luncheon banquet in honour of his GCC guests, attended by a number of Saudi princes and officials.
 
The meeting and banquet were also attended the delegation accompanying Sheikh Mohammed which comprised Sheikh Tahnoun bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy National Security Advisor, Ali Mohammed Al Shamsi, Deputy Secretary-General of National Security Council, Khaldoon Khalifa Al Mubarak, Chairman of Abu Dhabi Executive Affairs Authority (EAA), Mohammed Saeed Al Dhaheri, UAE Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Kingdom, Mohammed Mubarak Al Mazrouie, Undersecretary of Abu Dhabi Crown Prince's Court, Lt. General Juma Ahmed Al Falasi, Advisor to Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, and Major General Isa Saif Al Mazrouie, Deputy Chief of Staff of UAE Armed Forces.
 
Sheikh Mohamed was welcomed upon arrival in Saudi capital, Riyadh, earlier by Prince Mohammed bin Nayef, Deputy Crown Prince, Second Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, and Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdul Aziz, Minister of Defense, Chief of the Royal Court and Special Advisor to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques.


 
Gen. Mohamed attends GCC meeting in Riyadh

General Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, on Saturday, attended a meeting in the Saudi capital of Riyadh, which brought together Prince Mohammed bin Nayef, Saudi Deputy Crown Prince, Second Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince of Bahrain, Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser Al Thani, Prime Minister of Qatar, and Sheikh Mohammad Al Khalid Al Sabah, Deputy Prime Minister of Kuwait.

The GCC top officials took stock of the latest developments in the region, notably the situation in Yemen, and voiced their concern over the evolving events and their dangerous repercussions and warned against Yemen's slide into a dark tunnel which may entail consequences that could be dangerous not only for Yemen, but also for the security and stability in the region and the wider international peace and security.
 
The GCC officials also reiterated stances of GCC leaders which back the legitimacy in Yemen, represented by President Abd Rabbuh Mansur Hadi, and Yemeni people, expressing their readiness to exert all efforts to support Yemen's security and stability as an integral part of the GCC's security.
 
They emphasised the need for a swift response to the call made by the Yemeni President to convene a comprehensive conference in Riyadh under the umbrella of the GCC that brings together the entire political spectrum in Yemen and supports of the country's security and stability so as to achieve the goals stated by President Hadi in his message he sent to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdul Aziz of Saudi Arabia.

Present at the meeting were Sheikh Tahnoun bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy National Security Advisor, Deputy Chief of Staff of UAE Armed Forces, and Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdul Aziz, Minister of Defense, Chief of the Royal Court and Special Advisor to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques.
