Sheikh Mohammed approves biggest batch of ZHP's beneficiaries

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, has approved a batch of beneficiaries of the Sheikh Zayed Housing Programme (ZHP).

The batch, the biggest of the year in terms of the number of beneficiaries, including 2,854 Emiratis with an estimated value of up to Dh1.2 billion, in addition to 260 final approvals at an estimated value of Dh130 million. The batch involves those who fall under the eligible categories of loans, grants and completion of houses.

This approval comes to coincide with the celebrations of World Habitat Day, which aims to reflect on the state of cities and villages and the right of man to have a house as one of his key rights and to remind the world of its collective responsibility to improve the habitat for future generations.

Dr Abdullah Belhaiv, Minister of Public of Works, Board Chairman of the Zayed Housing Programme (ZHP), said the programme's announcement of this ever biggest batch comes following the directives by the Sheikh Mohammed.

He noted that Sheikh Mohammed's directive "is an important indicator of the government's keenness to achieve the programme's strategic goal of achieving housing stability for Emirati families and providing them with decent life."

Final approval notes will be delivered to beneficiaries at the "Partners Forum" which will be organised by ZHP at the Cultural Palace in Sharjah, and names will be announced through various local media.
 

Sheikh Mohammed appoints head of rental dispute resolution centre

In his capacity as Ruler of Dubai, UAE Vice President and Prime Minister His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, has issued Decree No (28) for 2013, appointing Dubai Courts’ senior appeal Judge Abdul-Qader Mousa Mohammed Abdul-Rahman as Head of the Rental Disputes Resolution Centre in the Emirate of Dubai.
