Sheikh Mohammed inspects Expo 2020 site

The Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, has stressed the importance of respecting the schedule and deadline related to the execution of infrastructure of the Expo 2020 site.

This will allow organisers ample time to put the final arrangements well in place before the arrival of exhibitors from more than 180 countries.

Sheikh Mohammed made these remarks during a tour of the Expo 2020 site near the Al Maktoum International Airport in Dubai.

He was accompanied by Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Expo 2020 Dubai Higher Committee and President of the Department of Civil Aviation, and committee members.

During a meeting with the committee, Sheikh Mohammed urged them to always exercise patience, positivity and optimism every morning so as to deliver success in their mission.

Addressing the committee, Sheikh Mohammed informed them that he placed absolute confidence in them and the team, which is toiling like a beehive with complete co-ordination, positivity and strong determination to make Expo Dubai a unique and unparalleled experience, outperforming other events in areas of organisation, reception, hospitality and promotion and marketing within the UAE, the region and world at large.

Her Excellency Reem Ebrahim Al-Hashimi, Minister of State for International Cooperation, presented a detailed presentation highlighting the progress of Expo 2020 preparations along with partnership agreements signed with various companies.

Al-Hashimi said that the location site of Expo 2020 embodies the logo and the main topics that revolve around “opportunity, transport and sustainability”.
