Sheikh Mohammed meets media personalities

Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum met at Atlantis Jumeirah this evening with media personalities and representatives of UAE-based local and foreign newspapers and news agencies.

The meeting was held in presence of Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai.

Sheikh Mohammed welcomed members of the media corps and said that the UAE will continue to be "an icon of freedom, stability and peace."

"The UAE always opens its doors and space to different media organisations that promote objectivity and seek to convey the message of peace and interaction among different countries and cultures of the world," he added.

During the Iftar banquet he hosted, Sheikh Mohammed talked to the members of the media about several political, media, economic and regional issues.
Members of the media praised the facilities and services offered to them in the UAE.

Also present were Sheikh Majid bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Dubai Culture '&' Arts Authority, Sheikh Mansour bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Sheikh Hamdan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Public Works and Chairman of the National Media Council, Ahmed Abdullah Al Shaikh, Director of the Media Office of Dubai Government and other senior officials.
