Sheikh Mohammed opens Dubai's new State Security Apparatus building

The Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum commended the critical role of the State Security Apparatus in enhancing security and safety of the community and preserving its gains.

A safe and secure environment is one of the key pillars of development, Sheikh Mohammed stressed on Wednesday, while inaugurating the new building of the State Security Apparatus in Dubai.

HH also unveiled a plaque before his tour of the building, during which he was accompanied by Lt. General Dahi Khalfan Tamim, Deputy Chairman of Police and Public Security in Dubai.

During the tour, Sheikh Mohammed was briefed by the director-general of the State Security Apparatus about the progress of work, achievements made by the security agency and plans to be implemented within Dubai Plan 2021 which aims to make Dubai one of the world's safest cities.

Sheikh Mohammed also inspected other under-construction buildings before he stopped at the historical museum and exhibition.

He watched a demonstration by the special force and then viewed the state-of-the-art technologies used by the apparatus to perform its duties and missions.

Also present at the inauguration were Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, and Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.
