Sheikh Mohammed orders management changes in Dubai Municipality

In his capacity as Ruler of Dubai, the Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, has ordered a number of management changes in Dubai Municipality.

This includes the promotion of four senior staff to the position of Assistant Director General, five to the position of Head of Department, and the retirement of eight others.

The move is part of the Municipality’s continuous development efforts and its aim to provide greater opportunities for the younger generation to contribute to the enhancement of various vital sectors in Dubai.

Engineer Daoud Al Hajri was promoted to the position of Assistant Director General for Engineering and Planning; Engineer Khalid Al-Sharif was named as Assistant Director General for Health, Safety and Environment Control.

Meanwhile, Taleb Jalfaar was promoted to Assistant Director General for Environmental Services and Public Health, and Ahmed Abdulkarim was named as Assistant Director General for the general support sector.

In addition, Engineer Layali Al-Mulla was promoted to the position of Head of Building Department; Engineer Nagib Mohammed Saleh was named as Head of Planning Department; Engineer Fahd Ahmed Al-Awadi was promoted to the position of Head of Drainage and Irrigation Department.

Also, Engineer Eman Al-Bastaki was named Head of Food Safety Department, and Abdullah Khalfan was named as interim manager for Legal Affairs Department.

The administrative changes also included the retirement of eight employees, including Khalifa Hareb, Manager of Assets Management Department, Rashad Bukhash, Executive Director of Architectural Heritage Department, Hawa Bastaki, Executive Director of Dubai Central Laboratory.

Others retiring included Humaid Al Marri, Manager of Transportation Department, AbdulHakim Malik, Head of Geographic Information Systems department, Ismail Albanna, Head of Recreational Amenities, Khalil Hussein, Head of Department, and Mohammed Al-Nouri, Specialist.

Sheikh Mohammed expressed his gratitude to the retiring officials for their efforts and services, and wished them the best for the future.
