Sheikh Mohammed receives credentials of new foreign ambassadors, swears-in eight UAE diplomats

A group of new UAE Ambassadors appointed to a number of countries have taken their oaths of office in front of Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, where they swore to Allah Almighty to be faithful to the UAE and its President, respect its constitution and laws, place the country’s best interest above all else, perform their work with sincerity and dedication, and protect national secrets.

The ceremony was attended by H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, H.H. Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior, and H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum instructed all Their Excellencies, including Sheikh Shakhbout bin Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Ambassador at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation; Mattar Saif Sulaiman Al Shamsi, Ambassador to Jordan; Sultan Ahmed Ghanem Al Suwaidi, Ambassador to Cyprus; Ibrahim Mohammed Juma Hassan Al Mansouri, Ambassador to Panama; Ahmed Nasser Abdul Raheem Al Khaja, Ambassador to Guinea; Ahmed Abdullah Saeed, Ambassador to Romania; Mohammed Ali Musbeh Al Shamsi, Ambassador to Chad; Hamad Obaid Ibrahim Al Zaabi, Ambassador to Pakistan; Ali Obaid Ali Al Yabhouni Al Dhaheri, Ambassador to China, and Mubarak Saeed Ahmed Barasheed Al Dhaheri, Ambassador to Serbia, to be the messengers of love, goodness and peace in those countries where they will represent the UAE, and to work hard and with dedication to strengthen tourism, as well as cultural and commercial relations between the UAE and these friendly countries, while maintaining the national interests of the UAE people, and establishing the country’s respected official and popular reputation.

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum highlighted the necessity of offering all types of assistance and support to UAE nationals abroad, especially students studying in foreign universities and colleges, and those who are ill, as well as the country’s other sons and daughters who are residing in or visiting the countries for the purposes of tourism, commerce, investments and other reasons.

His Highness gave the new ambassadors the responsibility to carry the personal regards of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan to the leaders of the countries where they will present their accreditation documents, as well as the wishes of the UAE’s leadership and people to the countries and their people, to continue their advancement, prosperity and peace.

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum also received the credentials of several new ambassadors from friendly countries to the UAE. His Highness received the individual accreditation documents of Dr. Khalid bin Saeed Al Jaradi, Ambassador of Oman; Francesca Elizabeth Escobar, Ambassador of Mexico; Dr. Hussein Tabaz, Ambassador of the Maldives; Sayed Mohamed bin Tenjaco Hussein, Ambassadors of Malaysia; Antonio Alvarez Barthe, Ambassador of Spain; Fernando Luis Lemos Igreja, Ambassador of Brazil; Ludovic Pouille, Ambassador of France, and Chacon Hernandez, Ambassador of Costa Rica His Highness welcomed the Arab and foreign ambassadors in their second country, and stressed that the doors of his government, ministers and all concerned officials in the country are open to them at any time, and for any topic or issue related to developing the relations of friendship and co-operation between the UAE and their countries, for everyone’s benefit.

His Highness considered his speech to be an invitation to all the ambassadors to work hard and with dedication, in order to build new bridges to promote culture, tourism and humanitarian communication between the people of the UAE and the people of their friendly countries. He also considered his speech to be an invitation to search for constructive methods and ideas to realise the desire and good intentions of all parties, on the level of senior leadership or on the levels of governments and public and private institutions, while achieving the desired benefits and best interests of all their people, and raising their economic, education and living standards to a high degree.

The administration of the oaths and accreditation document ceremonies, which took place today at the Presidential Palace in Abu Dhabi, were attended by Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Culture and Knowledge Development; Dr. Anwar bin Mohammed Gargash, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs; Dr. Sultan bin Ahmad Sultan Al Jaber, Minister of State; Mohammed Ibrahim Al Shaibani, Director-General of His Highness the Ruler of Dubai's Court; Khalifa Saeed Sulaiman, Director-General of Dubai's Protocol and Hospitality Department, and several officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.
