UAE and Armenia agree on reciprocal visa waiver for their citizens

The United Arab Emirates and the Republic of Armenia have agreed on reciprocal exemption from entry visa requirements for their citizens.

The agreement, which goes into effect today, was announced during talks held today by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, and Serzh Sargsyan, President of Armenia, at the Presidential Palace to discuss bilateral relations, current developments in the region and other issues of common concern.

Sheikh Mohammed and Sargsyan ways of enhancing investment partnership between the UAE and Armenia with a focus on tourism, water and agriculture.

He welcomed Sargsyan’s visit to the UAE and stressed that the UAE is keen on developing ties with Armenia.

He also wished that relations would witness further development and progress in various domains.

The meeting was attended by H.H. Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior; H.H. Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs; Dr. Jasim Mohammed Al Qassimi, Ambassador of the UAE to Armenia, and Gegham Gharibjanian, Ambassdor of Armenia to the UAE.
