World leaders wish Khalifa speedy recovery

General Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, has received more phone calls from the Arab leaders and senior officials, inquiring about the health of the UAE President, who underwent the surgical operation on Friday.

Sheikh Mohammed received calls from His Majesty King Abdullah of Jordan, HRH Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence of Saudi Arabia, and His Highness Sheikh Nawaf Al Ahmed Al Jaber Al Sabah, Crown Prince of Kuwait.

They expressed their best wishes for speedy recovery and good health for Sheikh Khalifa.

Sheikh Mohammed assured them that the health of President is stable, thanking them about their heartfelt fraternal feelings. 

General Sheikh Mohammed also received telephone calls from President Abd Raboo Mansour Hadi of Yemen and HRH Prince Saoud Al Faisal, Saudi Foreign Minister, who inquired about the health condition of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

Meanwhile, Arab League Secretary General has expressed, in a message to Sheikh Khalifa, his wishes of good health and speedy recovery.
The Grand Imam of Egypt's Al Azhar Al Sharif, Sheikh Dr Ahmed Al Tayyeb, has also inquired about the health of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

In a statement issued, the Grand Imam "wished good health and speedy recovery for Sheikh Khalifa".

On Saturday January 25, the Ministry of Presidential Affairs had issued the following statement:

"The Ministry announces that President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan suffered a stroke on Friday morning, January 24.

“He immediately underwent a surgical operation. His health is now stable. May God safeguard him and  grant him a quick recovery."

General Sheikh Mohamned bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, received telephone calls from Kings and Presidents of a number of sisterly countries, inquiring about the health of the President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

Their Majesties and Their Highnesses prayed to Allah to grant Sheikh Khalifa speedy recovery, good health and wellbeing so as to be able to pursue his wise leadership of the UAE and to achieve more progress and prosperity for the UAE people.

Sheikh Mohammed received get-well phone calls from the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz of Saudi Arabia, Sheikh Sabah Al Ahmad Al Jaber Al Sabah, Emir of Kuwait, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Emir of Qatar, King Mohammed VI of Morocco, Interim President of Egypt Adly Mansour and President Moncef Marzouki of Tunisia.

In return, Sheikh Mohammed assured the leaders of the brotherly countries of the stable health condition of President Khalifa.

He also thanked them for their deep brotherly feelings and their sincere wishes for speedy recovery for the President, praying to Allah to keep them far from harm and bless them with constant, good  health. 

Sheikh Mohammed also received calls from a number of top Saudi and Kuwaiti officials, inquiring about the health of the President.

Sheikh Mohammed got best wishes for speedy recovery and good health for Sheikh Khalifa from Prince Muqrin bin Abdul Aziz, Second Deputy Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia, Prince Fahad bin Sultan bin Abdul Aziz, Governor of Makkah and Sheikh Mohammed Al Khaled Al Sabah, Kuwaiti Interior Minister.
