Saudi health authorities are investigating a complaint by a local man that a doctor told him he examined his two ill little children through Wi-Fi.
The man said he took his two sons, 5 and 7 years, to a medical centre in the Southern province of Jazan as they were suffering from fever.
After telling him what they are suffering from, the doctor gave him a prescription for the two children without examining them or taking their temperature.
"When I asked whether he had examined them by Wi-Fi, he said 'yes, I examined them by Wi-Fi," the father said, quoted by 'Sabq' newspaper.
He said he sent a letter to the health department after his sons were examined at another clinic and given a different prescription.
"We are investigating this case…those found to have violated the rules will be punished," said Hussein Maashi, information director at the health department.
