Two aircrafts met with emergency issues this week, however, there were no untoward consequences from either.

While an Oman Air plane with 158 passengers and six crew members on board from Muscat, suffered a tyre burst upon landing at Julius Nyerere International Airport in Dar es Salaam on Saturday, a Kuwait Airways flight en route to Bangkok made an emergency landing on Sunday at Dhaka International Airport after a passenger died mid-air.

“We would like to confirm that flight WY707 from Muscat to Dar es Salaam suffered a tyre burst while landing at Dar Airport on July 16th," Oman Air announced on Twitter.

"All the passengers deplaned safely without any injuries. The airline has ordered a probe into the incident. The flight departed from Muscat International Airport at 7.15pm on Saturday."

Meanwhile, Kuwait Airways announced that its flight 411 en route to Thai capital Bangkok made an emergency landing on Sunday at Dhaka International Airport because of the death of a Kuwaiti passenger on the plane.

Kuwaiti News Agency has quoted a press statement of the company, which says that the plane completed the journey to Bangkok after the completion of the necessary procedures.
