A Bangladeshi man in Saudi Arabia used an axe to murder another Bangladeshi who worked as a driver on Makkah metro, then severed his head and mutilated his body before fleeing to his home country.

Police said they found the mutilated body of the 41-year-old driver at his house in the central town of Makkah and the axe that was used in the murder which is believed to have taken place Wednesday night.

Police said they had found clues that showed the fleeing Bangladeshi, 33, murdered the driver but they have yet to know the motives behind the killing as they both lived in the same house.

Sabq newspaper quoted a police spokesman as saying the killer used his axe to sever the victim’s head off the body after the murder. He then cut off his left leg and his right hand’s finger before working on the other parts of the body with his axe, finger nails and fists.

“He apparently had planned this murder as he fled his house and went straight to the airport before the crime was discovered,” police spokesman Lt. Colonel Abdul Mohsen Al Miman said.

“We have information that the killer has arrived in Dhaka…we have contacted the authorities there to arrest him.”
