Man drowns while swimming in Sharjah

A 35-year-old Emirati man drowned while swimming at a Sharjah beach after he was drifted away by strong currents in the area, press reports said on Monday.

Divers found his body inside the water after a search of several hours and indentified the man with the help of his car that was parked nearby.

“The man was pushed away from the beach in Khan area by strong currents…police are investigating the incident,” Emirat Alyoum daily said.
