Man seized with girl inside car

Saudi police arrested a local man for meeting a girl inside his car in front of a shopping mall late night in violation of existing rules in the conservative Gulf Kingdom, a newspaper reported on Thursday.

The unnamed Saudi told police he had met the girl in a European country as both study in that country and were in Saudi Arabia for their summer holiday.

Police seized the two after the guards reported the “illegal” meeting near the mall in the eastern town of Dhahran.
