Man went to jail… wife miscarried

A fetus inside the womb of a Saudi mother died after she suffered from severe depression following the imprisonment of her husband in a financial case, a newspaper in the Gulf Kingdom reported on Thursday.

Umm Rashid said she was told the fetus is dead but she is unable to go to the hospital because she has no money, Sabq Arabic language daily said.

“I now live with a dead fetus inside my womb…I can not go to hospital because I have no money and all relatives have abandoned me,” she said.

“We had a good life before my husband was jailed…I now have four children and live in a city where I know no one…even my family and other relatives in my home town are refusing to help me…I appeal for all benevolent people to give a helping hand so I can go to hospital and support my children before it is too late,” said Umm Rashid, who lives in Riyadh.
